Purpose

The sin function calculates the sine of an angle expressed in radians.

Syntax

Returns

A numeric value.

Usage

The numeric value in a Trigonometric function can be a constant value (as shown below), a variable, a field value, or an expression.

Returns: 0.574172

sin( -3)

Returns: -0.14112
